Who is responsible?
Xue Bobo is an independent project operated by Adrià Mas Rodríguez. For privacy questions or requests, contact hello@xuebobo.com.
The public website
The presentation pages do not include advertising trackers, analytics scripts or a registration form. Cloudflare serves the website and may process technical request information such as IP address and connection details to deliver and protect the service. The learning app has its own account and local-storage features described below.
Your account and learning
When you use the app, Supabase handles email/password authentication. Account information, language preferences, exercise answers, accuracy, response times and progress are processed to provide learning features and synchronisation. The app stores sessions, preferences and pending learning events on your device. A different browser or web address has separate local storage.
Classrooms and media
If you join a class, we process membership requests, roles, homework, chat messages, game results and any profile photos or voice notes you choose to upload. Classmates can see shared class content; teachers and owners can access the class information needed to manage membership and assignments. Private homework is restricted to the intended student and authorised teachers. Do not upload another person’s private information without permission.
Microphone, speech and camera
Speaking exercises request microphone access when needed. Recognition uses the device or browser’s speech service, which may send audio to its provider; that provider’s privacy terms apply. Recognised text may be recorded as an exercise answer. Recording and sending a classroom voice note is a separate action that uploads the recording. Optional camera or photo features may be used for images you choose to share. You can deny or revoke permissions in device settings.
Why and with whom
We process information to run accounts, learning and class features, respond to support requests and protect the service. Where applicable, providing requested services relies on performance of a contract; security relies on legitimate interests, and optional permissions or features may rely on consent. Service providers include Supabase for authentication, database and media storage, Cloudflare for web delivery, and Expo for native-app updates. Device speech providers process speech according to their own services. Processing locations may differ from your country.
Storage and your choices
Account and learning data are retained while needed to provide the service. You may request access, correction or deletion, and ask about other rights applicable where you live, by emailing hello@xuebobo.com. You may also complain to your relevant data-protection authority. Deletion requests are handled manually after verifying ownership; we explain any legally or security-required retention when responding. Local copies on your device may also need to be cleared through browser or app settings.
Classroom use and children
Classroom administrators should ensure appropriate permission and supervision for their students. If you believe a child’s information has been provided without appropriate authorisation, contact us so we can review and address it.

Features and service providers may change as the app develops. We will update this notice to reflect material changes. Questions can always be sent to hello@xuebobo.com.
